Message from the Chief Learning Officer
Providing access to a quality education is a noble tradition in the United States Armed Services.
Through organizations like the DoD Voluntary Education Programs and Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC), and programs like Armed Forces Tuition Assistance (TA) for off-duty voluntary education and the GI Bill, it has never been more convenient for servicemembers to explore their educational options, and with financial assistance, enroll in school or college to earn a professional certificate or degree.
The explosive growth of the Internet has fueled this endeavor. Most Armed services now mandate or facilitate online processing of tuition assistance: witness the GoArmyEd portal, the Air Force portal, the Navy College Office database, and the TA area at the Coast Guard site. (The Marine Corps currently lags behind in this department but undeniably has the coolest Flash-based recruiting site.)
How long before online education becomes the preferred option of armed services that is increasingly flexible, fast-acting, and technologically sophisticated?
Sessions is proud to offer U.S. military service members and their families challenging, creative online certificate programs in the creative arts. Have you ever thought about designing commercial graphics or Web sites, building multimedia presentations, or creating characters or animations for video games? If so, this school's for you. Sessions certificate programs offer a technical and creative education in a range of art and design fields, from graphic design and Web design to digital arts or game art.
You learn by working on practical creative projects, which your submit to a expert faculty for critique and feedback. One-to-one mentoring helps you understand how to improve your art and you build a portfolio of creative work as you move through a program.
By enrolling at Sessions, you join a community of thousands of students from around the world who are studying at a nationally and regionally accredited online school of design.
For military students, the Sessions certificate can prepare you for a career, act as a bridge to art college, or enhance your existing qualifications.
The flexibility of the Sessions program is also an asset for military students. Programs can be completed in as little as six months, committing up 12 hours a week to your studies. Our military-friendly leave of absence policy for active service members can allow you to put your program on hold if your deployment circumstances change.
Whether you're interested in enrolling at Sessions or just finding out more, I invite you to email an admission advisor at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for your time.
